Arthur Mastick Hyde collection. 1877-1962.

The collection consists primarily of assorted correspondence and business/political files (addressing personal, financial, legal, political, and agricultural issues, and including newspaper clippings, speech manuscripts, legal reports, and financial documentation) documenting his political career, 1899-1947. It also includes family financial information and correspondence as kept by Caroline and the estate secretary, Maureen Logsdon, after his death. The Arthur Mastick Hyde scrapbook contains photographs, memorials, speeches, public road maps, correspondence, certificates, and other miscellaneous items compiled by Arthur Mastick Hyde. Much of the scrapbook relates to Hyde's governorship. The photographs range from photographs taken of buildings throughout the area to Hyde's civic leadership.

He served as governor of the state between 1921 and 1925, and later worked as Secretary of Agriculture in the federal government.
